CORE Update 2022

Greetings and Salutations!  It’s hard to believe we are already rounding out the first quarter of 2022.   The CORE Subcommittee has been chugging along, finalizing the updates to the CORE curriculum.  We will be posting the updated Strategic Planning curriculum soon to our CORE webpage https://nacmcore.org.  Currently in the works is the last curriculum to be updated since its creation – Court Governance.   In April, the draft will be sent to the CORE Subcommittee for final review and approval.

The CORE Champion program was kicked off in May of 2021 during a webinar and continued at the 2021 annual conference in San Diego and 2022 mid-year conference in Bellevue, Washington.   The CORE Champion program expands the usage of the CORE curriculum providing the opportunity for members attending conferences or NACM sponsored webinars to achieve certificates at various levels.  Keep an eye out for the upcoming conference agenda, as sessions will be offered during the upcoming conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  See https://nacmcore.org/core-champion-program/ for more details regarding the program.

Also, the CORE Subcommittee has been working on incorporating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as it relates to each of the CORE competencies.   As each curriculum is  updated, the working groups are adding this information.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in joining our committee, we meet the fourth Wednesday of each month at 3pm ET.   Core® Subcommittee – National Association for Court Management (nacmnet.org).  If you would like to receive an email reminder, please send me your name, court and email address and I will get you on the list.   [email protected]
