Thank you all for subscribing to the CORE Newsletter.   I will be stepping down as Chair of the CORE Subcommittee and Kelly Hutton, our previous Vice Chair, will be taking over, with the assistance of Dawn Palermo and Brandon Kimura as Vice Chairs.   Kelly has been instrumental in getting the CORE Champion program off the ground and I want to personally thank her for all of the amazing work she has done.

We were able to finalize updating the Court Governance curriculum this past year, as well as incorporate DEI into the following curricula:  Leadership, Strategic Planning and Operational Management.

It was so great seeing folks at the annual conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  There was a large turnout, especially for our CORE sessions:  CORE Workforce Management 1 and 2; CORE Operations Management; CORE Educational Development; and CORE Shared Interest Group on Strategic Visioning and Planning.   For those who attended in person or virtually, be sure to get your structured responses in for credit in the CORE if you attended any of these sessions!

We also want to congratulate Jude Del Preore for completing two of the CORE Champion certificates, the CORE Principle Specialist and the CORE Explorer.  He’s the first of what we hope are any certificates to be awarded!

This upcoming year, we will be focusing on taking the CORE Champion to the next phase, which will include accessing the certificate program through our member portal and allowing members to watch previously qualified sessions for credit.

The CORE Subcommittee will continue meet monthly on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 3pm ET.   Core® Subcommittee – National Association for Court Management (nacmnet.org).  If you do not already receive an email reminder of the meeting, please email [email protected] and she will get you on the list!
