CORE accomplishments 2021 and transition

Hi everyone,

It has been a pleasure serving as Chair of the CORE subcommittee this past year.  Many thanks to the tireless efforts of the committee starting with my co-chair Kelly Hutton.  She is outstanding.  What an accomplishment (and deliverable) she gave to the committee with the successful launch of the CORE Champion certificate program.  Four in-person classes from the July conference and one recorded session are all available on the NACM website for those that seek credit toward their certificate.  Thank you Kelly!

Many thanks to Ed McNaughton and Brandon Kimura for chairing the curriculum review process of two of the competencies, Leadership and Operations Management.  Both have been completed and will be forwarded to the Board for recognition in August.  For their work, Ed and Brandon were selected to receive the NACM Lady Justice Award.  Congratulations gentlemen!

There were several other committee members who worked as hard as Ed and Brandon on the review process.  Many thanks to Janet Cornell, Norman Meyer, Phil Knox, Zenell Brown and various NACM Board members for their assistance in the review process.

Tina Mattison was chosen by the membership to serve as NACM’s treasurer and chair of this committee.  Tina previously served for three years as a director and most recently chaired the Membership Committee with much passion and energy.  I am excited for all of us to be “passing the gavel” to Tina to lead us in the coming year.  She will lead this committee on its quest to continue to provide great service and deliverables to the NACM membership and professionals in court management all over the world.

Best wishes to you and thanks again for serving our association.
